The 20s are a fun time to enjoy life, make new friends, start a career and get some stuff. It is nice to have some money and an even greater freedom to make life choices.
However, for some, the twenties becomes a decade of waste or a decade of just coasting. One of the phenomena of contemporary society is how many adult teenagers are out there. There are 30, 40, even 50 year old people that never matured beyond that of a teenagers view of life. Many think they are having the time of their life, yet they are just passing time and life is slipping through their hands.
It does not have to be this way. For many, if they just had a vision and a roadmap for their life, they would set about living life to the max full of fun but also full of impact and meaning.
The most important question of the 20s is the one of “Who am I?” How has God really made me as I begin to see my gifts, skills, abilities and talents deployed into the adult world.
Key activities of the 20s include: getting a handle on your spiritual gifts and your personality; growing abilities that have already been revealed; gaining skills and life experience; beginning to think with greater clarity on a life purpose and mission statement. And oh by the way, deciding what job to take, what city to live in, where to live, how to spend your money, who to date, who you might marry, finding a church, buying a car......
Here is our short list on making the most of your twenties in the areas that are key to your life impact.
